‘2017 Was a One-Off, We Were Clueless’

As crypto analysts pontificate that the so-called “altseaon” will soon arrive, bitcoin podcaster Peter McCormack has a simple message: Don’t hold your breath.

The “What Bitcoin Did” host went on a Twitter rampage this week to advance the notion that bitcoin will obliterate the rest of the crypto market, leaving a trail of altcoin bagholders in its wake.

The series of altcoin-hating tweets began with a shot at bitcoin’s top rival, ethereum.

It appears that this tweet merely served to get McCormack all warmed up. He quickly rattled off five more tweets on the same issue in a span of 48 hours.

McCormack Predicts New Bitcoin All-Time High While Posting an Image of a Lamborghini

The cryptocurrency podcaster continued his promotion of the number one cryptocurrency by posting, “Bitcoin new ATH by the end of summer or I’ll delete @APompliano’s account.”

Obviously, McCormack added humor to his tweet so that his followers won’t take it too seriously. However, it appears that the podcast host is riding the wave of bitcoin’s prevailing bullish sentiment to push his message of bitcoin maximalism.

The tweet was immediately followed by another post in which McCormack took a jab at bitcoin investors who say they are in it for the technology.

Three minutes after this tweet, he posted an image of a Lamborghini Huracan Performante with a caption, “This one. Bite me.”

McCormack Blasts Altcoins After Hyping Bitcoin

Praying for an alt season? Better keep praying because according to McCormack, it will never happen again.

In one of his most recent tweets, McCormack thrashed altcoins by writing that “alts are junk.” He then continued by saying that “2017 was a one off, we were clueless”

He ended this tweet with a strong statement to go long on bitcoin.

The Crypto Twitter celebrity ended his tweet rampage by bashing ethereum holders (again). In the tweet, he wrote, “Liking ETH is okay, we can still be friends. Some of my friends eat Tofurky and we still get along.”

Tofurky, of course, is a combination of tofu and wheat protein created as a vegetarian substitute for turkey.

McCormack’s inference should be clear.

What If He’s Wrong?

Bitcoin’s recent tear has emboldened maximalists like Peter McCormack. At nearly 66%, BTC dominance stands at its highest level since 2017, and the leading cryptocurrency continues to brutalize its would-be rivals.

However, overly-bold messages like this can also be a sign of out-of-control euphoria. With bitcoin plunging below $12,000, McCormack’s tweetstorm could be a signal that the local top is in.

If that’s the case, it would be more than a bit hilarious if the altcoins that McCormack dissed suddenly came to life in the next few days.
