After having an opportunity to view the report himself, Attorney General William P. Barr reached a similar conclusion, explaining:
“We now know that the Russian operatives who perpetrated schemes [in the election] did not have the cooperation of President Trump or the Trump campaign or the knowing assistance of any other American for that matter.”
Despite Trump’s Innocence, Democrats Just Can’t Let Up
Perhaps the most pathetic thing is the fact that Mueller’s investigation has cost American taxpayers an estimated $25 million, and for what? The result has amounted to what many of us already knew: Trump did not engage with Russians to push his chances for election. This is money out of the pockets of Americans for a pointless and illegal investigation that’s likely to never be reimbursed.
Adding insult to injury are the Democrats’ undying resolutions to expose Trump’s corruption despite the consistently lagging evidence that such corruption exists. Already, leaders of the Democratic party – including several 2020 hopefuls – are concluding that Trump must be “held accountable” and that Mueller should testify before Congress.
Dems are claiming Barr is “irresponsible” and “cannot be trusted” to fully and honestly interpret the report’s findings and that he is only working to protect the man who hired him.
The big question is: “How much more time are Democrats willing to waste?” Collusion with Russia has been dismissed not just by Barr but by the man they hired to find it. House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler now claims he’s planning to subpoena Mueller and ask that he testify by May 23. He also claims that an FBI investigation would likely “uncover facts” about the President’s campaign that would reveal intimate details regarding his potential “crimes.”
Trump Is Capable of Doing Everything Democrats Can’t
Republicans are refuting Nadler’s claims. They are and asking Democrats to do their jobs and turn their attention elsewhere. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, for example, states:
“Democrats want to keep searching for imaginary evidence that supports their claims, but it is simply not there. It is time to move on.”
One can argue that Democrats hate Trump because he boasts no political experience yet has managed to accomplish everything they couldn’t. Amidst all the hoopla surrounding Mueller’s report and the president’s non-existent ties to Russia, Trump’s economic prowess continues to work wonders in America.
Jobless claims, for instance, are at their lowest since 1969, diving down to a meager 192,000. By contrast, unemployment under the Obama administration was still at 5% during its lowest point. That’s an estimated 16 million people without work.
Obama also made claims that certain jobs, particularly manufacturing jobs, had no chance of coming back in 2016, yet positions in manufacturing have reached a 10-year high under President Trump.
