
On August 1, 2017, bitcoin broke the internet. Since the event, which is referred to as the hard fork, cryptocurrency enthusiasts can now make use of two different currencies: bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCC).
In our previous article, we showed users how to securely extract Bitcoin Cash from their BTC.com web wallets. Since then, we’ve been working hard to embrace Bitcoin Cash and make it more accessible to the community.
As of August 4, 2017, both current and new BTC.com users can send, receive, and store Bitcoin Cash in the BTC.com Bitcoin Cash wallet.
How to get your Bitcoin Cash wallet
The BTC.com Bitcoin Cash wallet is currently available as a web wallet, and can be best accessed from desktop. Create your Bitcoin Cash wallet at bcc-wallet.btc.com and get total control of your new Bitcoin Cash in just a few minutes.
If you created your BTC.com bitcoin wallet before August 1 (hard fork):
Then you will have both your bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash wallet already set up for you. You can access the new Bitcoin Cash wallet with your regular bitcoin wallet login credentials.
If you created your BTC.com bitcoin wallet after August 1 (hard fork) OR you have not yet created a BTC.com wallet:
You will have to sign up for the Bitcoin Cash wallet at bcc-wallet.btc.com.
