UNICEF France Accepts Crypto Donations
The French office of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has started accepting crypto donations in 9 of the most popular cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin (BTC). The announcement comes after earlier this year the UN agency launched several other crypto-related initiatives.

China Updates Crypto Ranking
The China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID), under the country’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, officially published its fifth crypto rankings on Sept. 20. Thirty-three crypto projects are ranked. Each is given an overall score and a separate score for each of the three categories — basic technology, application, and innovation.

French MPs Propose Legal Framework for All ‘Digital Assets’ Providers
The French government is planning to provide a legal framework for all “digital assets” providers. Three members of President Emmanuel Macron’s party, La République En Marche (LREM), have proposed an amendment to French legislation for regulating all service providers in the crypto industry, The National Assembly is reportedly set to discuss the amendment by the end of September.

California Prohibits Political Campaigns Accepting Donations in Bitcoin
Politicians running for public offices in California, will not be able to receive crypto donations, due to the new ruling by the state‘s political watchdog, the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC). The five member independent commission voted 3–1 in favour of prohibiting campaign donations in virtual currencies.

US Congressman to Introduce ‘Groundbreaking’ Bills to Support Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies
A US congressman, Tom Emmer announced legislation bills aimed at supporting blockchain technology. Emmer presented the drafts for the three cryptocurrency-related bills, to be introduced in the House of Representatives, entitled “Resolution Supporting Digital Currencies and Blockchain Technology”, “Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act” and “Safe Harbour for Taxpayers with Forked Assets Act”.
