Vote for CoinDesk’s Most Influential People in Blockchain 2017

in·flu·ence ˈinflo͝oəns: The power or capacity of causing an effect in indirect or intangible ways.

What makes a person influential?

It’s a question without an easy answer, one that in an industry as fast-moving as blockchain can feel all the more ephemeral. From the ICO boom to China’s cryptocurrency crackdowns (yes, more than one) to bitcoin’s surging price, it was a year defined by an almost neck-breaking volley of breakthroughs, debates and backlash.

Yet over the months, clear patterns came to light. New voices emerged, old ones faded and others shone all the clearer for their persistence.

Against this backdrop, CoinDesk’s editorial team has compiled a *short* list of the individuals we believe saw the biggest boost in influence in 2017 in our survey below.

Updated already with early input from our Consensus conference attendees, we’re now inviting the world to vote – and to nominate anyone they believe has left a lasting mark on the industry this year.

You can cast your vote below from now until Nov. 3.

One lucky respondent will win a 50 percent discount on one ticket to Consensus 2018, May 14–16 in New York. Complete the survey to be eligible for the draw – and more importantly, to make your voice heard!
